Bismark Sarpong is a Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Cape Town. He has a BSc Mineral Engineering (Umat, 2009), an Msc (UCT, 2014). He worked for two years as a metallurgist for Goldfields Ghana Limited, Tarkwa Mine operations. He left Goldfields Mines in 2011 and joined UCT to pursue Msc degree in the Department of Chemical Engineering. He has been involved with plant surveys at Goldfields Ghana Limited, Lonmin Platinum, Exxaro Namakwa Sands and AngloPlatinum.
