The Trustees of the Harry Crossley Foundation are offering Fellowships to early career researchers to support a full-time focus on clinical and translational research at UCT’s Faculty of Health Sciences.

Two types of award are available:

Lunch time seminar 16th of March 1.30-2.30 with Dr Tilman Altenburg ERC Seminar room Tilman is a senior researcher at the German Development Institute in Bonn, Germany. He is visiting UCT for three weeks. He recently published a book on ‘Green Industrial Policy - Concept, Policies, Country Experiences’, produced by the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) in partnership with the German Development Institute (DIE) within the framework of the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE), He will explore policy options for managing structural change that accounts for both challenges in a harmonised way. After providing an up-to-date overview of the debate on green industrial policy, the presentation will delve into what countries can gain economically from pursuing environmental integrity, and what policy options are available to accelerate the transformation in ways that enhance well-being and environmental sustainability together.
